The X-Ray Application Malaysia Society (XAPP) is a non-government organization aiming at promoting the development and dissemination of information on X-ray application techniques and related technology and promoting cooperation among members and other organizations of similar objectives.

It was founded in 2000 by the committee member of  2nd Asian Conference on X-Rays and Related Techniques in Research And Industry (ACXRI 2000) that was jointly organised by Malaysian Institute for Nuclear Technology Research (MINT), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Standard Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) and Malaysian Nuclear Society (MNS). 

Currently, XAPP enjoys the support of over 40 members in the government, private, and corporate sectors (as corporate member) and maintains two international linkages with the The International Centre for Diffraction Data® (ICDD®) and Curtin University of Technology (Australia).

 

OBJECTIVES

  • Disseminating information and usage of X-ray characterization techniques.

  • Fostering interaction among users and suppliers engaged in the use of X-rays.

  • To held workshop, conference and other related activities.

  • To build rapport among users in Malaysia.

  • Encourage relationship of XAPP with international X-ray society.
