The 10th AGM elects new
administrative commitee members

 

The tenth annual general meeting of the MNS concluded with the election of new members to its Administrative Committee and re-election of some of the "old" members.  The new line-up for the 1999/2001 session is as follows:

President: Dr. Nahrul Khair bin Alang Md. Rashid - MINT (re-elected)

V. President: Dr. Ismail Bahari - UKM (re-elected)

Secretary: Dr. Shahidan Radiman - UKM (replacing Asiah Ahmad - MINT)

A. Secretary: Faridah Idris - MINT (replacing Sidek Othman - MINT)

Treasurer: Sidek Othman - MINT (replacing Yaziz Yunus - Sterilgamma Sdn. Bhd.)

Members: Dr. Khairul Zaman Hj. Dahlan - MINT (re-elected); Dr. Mohamad Lebai Juri - MINT (re-elected); Dr. Muhamad Deraman - UKM (re-elected); Yaziz Yunus - Sterilgama Sdn. Bhd. (ex-treasurer replacing Dr. Syed Abdul Malik - MINT)

Auditors: Dr. Meor Yusof and Dr Jaafar Abdullah, both of MINT replacing Zarina Masood and Chantara Thevy Ratnam also of MINT

According to MNS Constitution, office bearers are elected for a two-year term.   The AGM went on smoothly under the able chairmanship of Prof. Sukiman Sarmani, UKM assisted by Dr. Nashriyah Mat and Dr. Meor Yusof both of MINT as rapporteurs.  It was held at MINT, Saturday, 15 May 1999.
